Wisconsin DMV has launched the new Driver Education Grant Program. Please read below to understand the process.
For students to enroll in the Driver Education Grant Program

• Students will apply online at wisconsindmv.gov/degrant

• Students will share the coupon number(s) for the course(s). This is included on their acceptance email.

• Schools will enter the coupon numbers in DEC

• Coupons are redeemed after entering in your student's information under "student account"

• Payment for the course(s) will be sent electronically to the Driving Schools from Wisconsin DMV

Wisconsin Act 86 providing Free Driver Education Grants. Students who qualify for free/reduced lunch may apply below to have their classroom and behind-the-wheel driver training for a Class D (Regular) driver license paid for through the Driver Education Grant Program.

Students with grants can enroll in Driver’s Education program offered by an authorized Driver Education provider.

Students between the ages of 14½ - 19 years of age who satisfies the income eligibility criteria for a free or reduced-price lunch in the federal school lunch program under 42 USC 1758 (b)

• Student must be a Wisconsin resident

• Student has not previously held a driver license Driving Instruction

Driver Education Grant covers: • 30 hours of classroom

• 6 hours of Behind the Wheel • 6 hours of observation.

Grant funds issued to a student expire after 9 months of no use and student may reapply

Student Application: Process

• Apply online below (enter all information)

• Our office will contact you to with confirmation

• Share the coupon number(s) and our school will enter the coupon #(s) upon course enrollment

• Wisconsin DMV will send payment for the course(s) electronically to Lada Driver School, LLC

• Once approved, for Classroom, BTW or BOTH courses we will begin

• If the student is denied, will receive a reason. In some cases, the student may reapply.

NOTE: This FREE Driver Ed Grant form is to be completed ONLY by teens APPROVED/CONFIRMED under 42 USC 1758 (b)
